Stop by the Lake House in Crystal Lake Park this summer to rent a paddleboat, canoe or rowboat and discover Crystal Lake. The Lake House will close when weather conditions make boating unsafe. Call 328-1069 for updated information.

Boat Rental Fees
Canoes and Rowboats: $6/half-hour or $8/hour
Canoes hold up to 2 adults and 1 child, small rowboats hold up to 3 adults, large rowboats hold up to six adults.
4-seat Paddle Boats:
2 people 30 minutes $7
2 people 60 minutes $9
3 people 30 minutes $8
3 people 60 minutes $10
4 people 30 minutes $9
4 people 60 minutes $11
Children 3 & under may sit on an adult's lap or in between two adults in the front seat & not be charged.
We accept cash or check (with valid ID) only as payment – no credit or debit cards, sorry.
Fees include Coast Guard-approved life jackets with sizes ranging from infant to adult. An adult must accompany anyone under 16. A valid driver’s license or major credit card is required as a deposit on all rentals.
FREE FISHING CLINICS
People of all ages can learn to fish at these free clinics run by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Individuals and groups are invited to join us at Crystal Lake Park. Sessions will be 2.5 hours long and will begin at the Large Pavilion. Call 217-367-1544 to reserve your spot. This is the perfect activity for families, scouts, daycare groups and campers.
Mondays: June 14-August 2: 1pm
Wednesdays: June 16-August 4: 9am and 1pm
Fridays: June 18-August 6: 9am and 1pm
Call the Champaign Park District at 398-2550 to sign up for IDNR Free Fishing Clinics at Kauffman Lake. Those clinics will meet Monday at 9 a.m., Tuesdays at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
LAKE HOUSE RENTAL- Call 367-1544
The Lake House is the perfect spot for birthdays, anniversaries,
retirement parties, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, family
reunions, corporate trainings, meetings, retreats, graduation and
holiday parties. The Lake House rental room can seat 50 people or accommodate up to 100
people with the inclusion of the outdoor terrace. There is a two-hour minimum for all rentals. Please make your request at
least two weeks in advance.
Every rental includes use of a prep kitchen with counter space,
small microwave, sink, and ice machine as well as a refrigerator and
freezer. In the warmer months, your party could benefit from a private
group boat rental at a discounted rate. Also available at a small cost
are an easel, TV/VCR, movie screen, and LCD projector (computer
not included), and use of fireplace.
Now’s the time to begin wedding plans! The Lake House is a fantastic
location for an intimate wedding or other celebration. Call Janet
at 367-1544 ext. 207 to talk about set-up options and accommodations
for a larger party. Quite often, groups rent additional tables and
chairs to complement our indoor set-up for an outdoor ceremony.

All rental requests require a $75 deposit 2 weeks in advance
Reserve the Lower Terrace for an additional $35 and have the tables
moved aside for $50. The Lower Terrace is the ideal spot for a small
ceremony right on the water’s edge!
