Teeming with activity, this park features the district's only lighted tennis courts. Blair Park is also used for soccer and t-ball and is home to Kiwanis baseball in the summer.
J.C. Blair
the first president of the Urbana Park District Board of Commissioners, was a professor of horticulture at the University of Illinois. After moving to Urbana from the east coast, he helped establish both the Urbana Park District and Illinois' first state park at Fort Massac. He planted more than 6,000 trees in Urbana during his lifetime.
The Rourke Shelter is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Blair Park is used by the Urbana Middle School for PE programs, including tennis instruction.
