Busey Woods (details)
Walk in the woods on the boardwalk loop.

Busey Woods is a 59-acre nature preserve adjacent to Crystal Lake Park with a boardwalk loop, seasonal ponds and more. The boardwalk makes the woods more accessible for those with limited mobility and allows the park district to take groups on tours of the woods even in wetter conditions.

Meadowbrook Prairie (details)

Prairie was the dominant natural feature of Illinois before the settlers arrived. Since 1978, the Urbana Park District and countless volunteers have worked to re-create approximately 80 acres of Illinois native landscape.

Perkins Road Wet Prairie (details)

With the assistance of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation 2000 program and a 2006 Trees Forever Grant, the Urbana Park District has begun to restore 35 acres south of Perkins Road in East Urbana. It is not open for public use at this time.
