Activities: Begin a lifelong hobby for you and your child. Learn how to use binoculars, spot and identify common local birds and discover a bit about each bird’s natural history. This parent/child partner workshop is for folks with little or no bird watching experience. We will spend time indoors getting acquainted with bird watching and then try out new skills during a hike in Busey Woods and Crystal Lake Park. All equipment will be provided including trail snacks. This workshop is appropriate for children 8 years and older. Space is limited. Fee includes one adult and one child. Sign up by calling 367-1544.
