Adults age 18 can learn to speak Spanish on Zoom in August.

There is a session from 10 - 11 a.m., Tuesdays starting August 9. There is a 6 - 7 p.m., session on Wednesdays starting August 10.

Instructors from Language in Action, Inc., will teach the live classes.

“They have their own professional foreign language speakers that can teach many classes. Through Zoom, they are able to reach multiple communities across the State without having to worry about traveling,” said Matthew Lewis, Community Program Coordinator at the park district.

Lewis added, “Whether you know 0 words or 1,000 words, this class is designed to teach everyone at their own pace. Registrants are welcome to sign up if they have a genuine interest in learning another language they aren’t familiar with.”

“I hope students are able to take away the satisfaction of learning a new language and that they felt like they got their money and time’s worth from the class,” Lewis concluded.
