As it warms up, be sure to get your dog outside at Urbana Park District. Urbana Park District has a dog park, specially made for our furry friends and you can purchase a membership for you and your dog.

The dog park is located at 1501 E. Perkins Rd., in Urbana. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. The park allows owners to let this dogs off the leash and run around and get the “zoomies” out in open and shaded areas.

This unique location is a fun place for dogs to play and for people to meet and get to know other dog owners. The site has running water Spring through Fall and two separate fenced in areas, including a smaller area for timid dogs.

For Urbana residents it costs $46 for a membership at $10 for a key fob. For non-residents, it is $69 for a membership plus the $10 fob fee. Each additional dog costs $6. People can take up to three dogs to the park at a time.

The park district spells out all the Dog Park rules online. People must have their dog up to date with all their vaccinations and have proof of vaccination.
