Everyone is welcome to Anita Purves Nature Center this Saturday, November 5, from 9 - Noon, to celebrate America Recycles Day. 

This year, people can learn about "upcycled" art, from local artist Chris Berti. Berti is a professor at Parkland College and is an artist and sculptor. He will show his collection of normally discarded items (like the brick in the photo below) that he turned into works of art. 

Visitors will also get the chance to repurpose items and create their own upcycled art and learn more about how they can recycle items in their homes and learn to "go green."
