Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center wraps up successful season

Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center wrapped up the season yesterday with another successful year of providing water fun for residents.

"This summer featured some extreme weather, including very hot temperatures for swimming," said Leslie Radice, Aquatics Manager, Urbana Park District.

"We are grateful for the community’s support and attendance."

But, people who like swimming need not fret until next summer. "The Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center is ready to serve you," Radice added. "Our indoor pool features family and child water features, a zero depth pool, water slides and a lap swim pool. It is a great place to come in cold weather, get the wiggles out and splash in the water."

The indoor pool also offers water exercise classes and swimming lessons for people of all ages.

Daily admission is $6, $3 for spectators who will watch but not swim and kids under three are free.

People can purchase punch card passes, or memberships for the indoor pool only. They can also purchase memberships for both the indoor and outdoor pool.

"No matter the weather, you belong at our pools year round," Radice concluded.
