Urbana Park District invites kids ages 8 – 14 to have SNOW much fun for an hour online during the Urbana School District 116 winter break.

The Winternet Activity Hour runs from December 18 – 30, with no sessions December 24 and 25. Each session lasts from 10-11am on Zoom.

“We’ll be playing games, learning cool stuff, doing crafts, moving our bodies, and making music,”   said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager.

While Winternet is free, people still need to register so the park district knows how many supplies are needed.

People have until December 11 to register.

Soesbe added, “Each day will be different and a schedule with instructions will be in the supply kit that will be delivered to your door on December 16 or 17.”

If kids outside of Urbana Park District sign up for Winternet, they will have to come to Phillips Recreation Center to pick up their supplies.

Soesbe concluded, “All kids belong at our Winternet activities this holiday break. It’s a great, free way for kids to relax, learn, and make new friends.”
