As part of Take a Child Outside Week, Urbana Park District is hosting free Playdates with Nature at Anita Purves Nature Center, outside at Friendship Grove Nature Playscape.
The playdates are from 4 – 6 p.m., on:
- September 20 – Mud kitchen
- September 22 – Art and Music
- September 24 – Scavenger hunt
All the events are free, but adults need to pre-register their kids, ages 6 and up, before the event.
A nature play facilitator will be present with extra supplies and other items for play.
It is a great chance for a child to explore nature outside.
