Help plan the future of Blair Park

Community members can stop by Blair Park on Wednesday, July 10, from 4 – 6 p.m., to talk about future park improvements with Urbana Park District staff.

The informal, open-house like meeting will be at the Blair Park pavilion.

“We’re going to ask people how they use Blair Park, what’s important to them and what type of playground design they want,” said Kara Dudek, Park Planner. She added, "Even a few minutes of time will help. We also welcome the input of kids and teens."

People can share their thoughts via a questionnaire and spin the prize wheel as a thank-you for their time.

“We have an opportunity to apply for another OSLAD grant this summer, and public input is key to informing what recreational amenities will be included in the grant application, “ Dudek said. “This grant can help Urbana Park District investment go even further in revitalizing Blair Park.”

“People belong in the Blair Park planning process,” Dudek commented. “We hope for a lot of input.”
