Urbana Parks District invites kids in grades 9 – 12 to sign up for the Fall Wood Bat League.

“The Fall Wood Bat League is a great way for kids to keep their baseball skills sharp,” said Kyle Mills, Athletics Supervisor. “The games are Sundays from September 12 to October 17. All dates are double headers at either 1 or 4:30 p.m.”

The games will be at the Prairie Baseball Field or surrounding fields.

“We will provide bats and jerseys. When signing up, please indicate what high school your player attends,” Mills explained.

Sign up by August 27 and get an early bird discount. The early bird rate is $95 for residents and $107 for non-residents.

Register online or call the park district at (217) 367-1544.

“Everyone is invited to register for the Fall Wood Bat League,” Mills said. “We want to offer the kids a fun activity on the ball diamond.”
