Urbana Park District is offering a free virtual quilting group this fall so quilters can socialize, show their projects and exchange tips and pointers about quilting.
“We are so excited to offer this social and making hour, this fall. During this time at home, I’ve been working on projects almost every night and I know other folks have been too. I can’t wait to see what everyone has been making.” said Niki Hoesman, Community Program Coordinator.
Quilters Zoom starts Tuesday, September 29, from 10 - 11 a.m. The group runs every Tuesday through November 3. Quilters of all ages are welcome.
The quilters will meet on Zoom. “We’ll be able to show each other the new projects we have been working on and learn some old tricks from our seasoned quilters.” Hoesman added.
While the Zoom group is free, people still need to register.
"Call (217) 367-1544 to register, or register online at urbanaparks.org," Hoesman explained. “We are really looking forward to connecting with our community in this way and staying safe while we do.”
