An Urbana Park District tradition is back for another summer.  The Park District invites everyone to Neighborhood Nights, an evening of community-building and great music in Urbana Parks.

OSF Healthcare is partnering with Urbana Park District for Neighborhood Nights.

“Every Wednesday night, we go to a different park,” said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager. “While there, we hear great music from local artists. People can bring their lawn chairs, blankets, even their dinner and enjoy the evening.”

Urbana Park District supplies water, lemonade and popcorn while supplies last. At selected events, the Park District will have kid’s activities.

Here is the schedule for Neighborhood Nights with date, park and artist:

• May 29: Carle Park – Backyard BBQ Band
• June 5: Anita Purves Nature Center – Love Sign
• June 12: South Ridge Park – New Souls
• June 19: Blair Park – Keith Harden
• June 26: Lohman Park – Sapphire
• July 3: Victory Park – Jive Bag
• July 10: AMBUCS Park – DR Dixie Band
• July 17: Crestview Park – Killborn Alley
• July 24: Larson Park – Wildwood
• July 31: Prairie Park – The Painkiller Blues Band
• August 7: Meadowbrook Prairie Play – Nickel and Dimes

“We are so pleased to put on Neighborhood Nights every year,” Soesbe said. “Everyone belongs at Neighborhood Nights and we hope to see you soon.”
