Learning continues even in the summer. Urbana Park District is offering Zoom classes in foreign languages this summer. People can learn Spanish, French and Italian during several different sessions from May – August, 2022.

Classes are broken down by age and are offered for people age three – adult. Teachers come from Language in Action, Inc.

Matthew Lewis, Community Program Coordinator, commented, “Whether you know 0 words or 1,000 words, this class is designed to teach everyone at their own pace. Registrants are welcome to sign up if they have a genuine interest in learning another language they aren’t familiar with.”

It costs $40 to register for both residents and non-residents. Register online or call the park district at (217) 367-1544 to sign up.

“I hope students are able to take away the satisfaction of learning a new language and that they felt like they got their money and time’s worth from the class,” Lewis concluded.
