People in grades 4 - 8 are welcome to sign up for the Safe at Home and Safe Sitter courses. Both courses will be November 18, at Phillips Recreation Center.

The Safe at Home course teaches kids in grades 4 - 6 how to be responsible when staying at home by themselves. They will learn safe practices, how to avoid danger and what to do when there is an emergency like severe weather or a power outage.

The Safe Sitter course teaching kids in grades 6 - 8 how to be a nurturing babysitter, be safe at home and how to watch younger siblings.

It costs $15 to take the Safe at Home course and $25 for the Safe Sitter course. Sign up by November 13. Call (217) 384-4062 to register or to contact Chelsea with any questions.
