Do you want to learn how to paint beautiful landscapes but don’t know how to start? Urbana Park District is offering a Landscape Painting Workshop at Phillips Recreation Center.
The one-day workshops are:
- February 29 – 9 a.m. – Noon
- March 28 – 9 a.m. – Noon
Carol Farnum, local professional artist and member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters is leading the workshop.
“The park district will supply a light breakfast from a local cafe, coffee and all the painting supplies,” said Niki Hoesman, Community Program Coordinator.
People have until February 26 to register for the February 29 workshop. The workshop costs $60.
If people register before March 14 for the March 28 workshop, they will get a $10 discount.
“Register by calling (217) 367-1544 or people can register online,” Hoesman said.
The workshops are for everyone age 12 and up. “All ages and abilities are welcome. And, you get to take home your work of art at the end of the class,” Hoesman concluded.
