The Urbana Parks Foundation invites the public to The Big Splash this Saturday, February 22, from 2-4 p.m., at Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center.

It costs $3 for spectators and $6 for swimmers. The day features door prizes, snacks, and a cannon ball contest.

“This event is an opportunity for us to showcase giving opportunities to our Youth Scholarship Fund, hopefully raising some additional support for the Fund and send some kids to Summer Camp,” said Ellen Kirsanoff, Development Manager with Urbana Park District.

She continued, “We hope to share with those attending the importance of recreation and fun to youth and families, and to encourage additional donations to the Urbana Parks Foundation that will enable more kids to enjoy a summer full of fun.”

The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to come to Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center to learn how to help offset the cost of some kids to attend summer camp.
