People will have the chance to view local art at Anita Purves Nature Center this winter and spring.
Artist Nelson Kay will display Jettison from January 28 - April 28 at the nature center.
Kay's artist statement about Jettison:
My art is a personal exploration of the interactions between nature and culture, environmentalism and consumerism. I aim to foster a sense of curiosity about these relationships, giving the viewer space to examine their own position without judgment or moralization.
People are free to come to the nature center beginning January 28, anytime during regular business hours.
The park district will host a special reception for Kay and Jettison on February 4, at the nature center from 1 - 3 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
