Be sure to come to Meadowbrook Park on Saturday, May 3, for the PrairiePlay celebration. The celebration will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., on Saturday.
In March of 2024, workers took down the 28-year-old PrairiePlay, and began construction on a new, inclusive and accessible playground for the community. The playground opened in October of 2024. And now we will celebrate the first spring and summer of the new PrairiePlay.
Come out May 3, for all the fun. The park district will have food trucks, free kites for the first 100 kids, a collaborative art project and, of course, a chance to play. People can also meet "Ms. Wheelchair USA" RaeAnne Lindsay.
