When it comes to the Best in Show Photographic Print Competition, the Borbely family is making it a tradition.
James Borbely, his son Tim, daughter-in-law Krista, and granddaughter-in-law Rachel, all entered the competition this year. This is Tim's 10th year, James' ninth, Krista's fifth year, and Rachel's first year entering the contest.
The annual competition is a family affair. James said, "Sorting, choosing, and mounting our photos for the Best in Show event had become a bit of a family ritual for us all. We gather at Tim and Krista's house, sometimes for dinner, sometimes for dessert, always for great conversation while we get our photos ready to go. For us, getting together and comparing our potential entries is as much a part of the process as the actual event."
This year Krista won an honorable mention in the Architecture category and Rachel (in her first year!), won an honorable mention in the Nature category.
"We are already looking forward to Best in Show 2027," James concluded.
