Skate board fans have the chance to see and participate in Skate Fest on August 31 (rain date September 1), from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., at Dr. Preston L. Williams, Jr., Elementary School, 2102 E. Washington Street, Urbana.
The park district is partnering with Skeuwep Skate Shop of Urbana for this event. Come to Skate Fest and take part in skate board tricks and games, free skate lessons and a beginner's skate board workshop, free food, and a limited number of free skate boards. Or simply come out and watch and enjoy!
All ages and abilities are welcome to Skate Fest. No registration is required. Come out and connect with friends, make new friends, ride a skate board and have fun!
