The public is invited to the Anita Purves Nature Cener on December 12, from 4 - 7 p.m., for the free Winter Solstice Celebration.
Come out to the nature center anytime that evening and enjoy warm drinks, guided nature walks through Busey Woods, an outdoor fire, crafts, music and more. You can also set your intentions for 2026 and bid an early farewell to 2025.
Everything is free, but the nature center asks that you sign up so staff can estimate supplies. Call (217) 384-4062 for more information or to sign up. Or sign up online.
