Come out to Anita Purves Nature Center on December 20, from 4 - 7 p.m., and celebrate the Winter Solstice.
Everything is free and people ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be guided hikes through Busey Woods, storytelling, crafts, a campfire and a chance to set intentions for the coming year. The evening will conclude with a spiral walk.
While free, organizers ask that people sign up so they can get adequate supplies for the celebration

Winter Solstice Celebration - FREE
Enjoy a festive evening of stories and adventure during this twilight event celebrating the shortest day of the year and the return of light. We will gather around the fire for snacks, make holiday crafts, and set our intentions for the coming year. Guided hikes through Busey Woods will depart every hour, and we will finish with a candlelit winter spiral walk. Pre-registration is requested for this event to prepare supplies.
