Connect with nature, and your fellow nature lovers, this Fall. The Anita Purves Nature Center is hosting free "Connecting You to Nature" hikes in the park district Natural Areas.
The nature hikes are Tuesdays from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., on:
- September 15 - Meadowbrook Park
- September 22 - Meadowbrook Park
- September 29 - Meadowbrook Park
- October 6 - Busey Woods
- October 13 - Busey Woods
- October 20 - Busey Woods
- November 17 - Weaver Park
Explore plants, animals, and the unique natural history of each preserve. These informal programs are tailored to the season and group interests.
These hikes are free for all ages (under 15 with an adult), and there is no registration required.
Connect with nature, make new friends, and learn about the fantastic nature in our parks!
