Everyone is invited to the free "Connecting You to Nature Hikes" once a month from May through August.
Employees of the Anita Purves Nature Center will lead these hikes. Explore plants, animals, and the unique natural history of each preserve. These informal programs are tailored to the season and group interests.
The hikes are from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., on:
- May 12 - Meadowbrook Park
- June 9 - Busey Woods
- July 14 - Weaver Park
- August 11 - Perkins Road Wet Prairie
There is no registration for these hikes. Just come as you are! People under 15 need to be accompanied with an adult.
