Everyone is invited to join the Champaign-Urbana City Nature Challenge April 24 - 27 at various locations at Urbana Park District.
This is a free event for all ages and there is no registration required.
Use the iNaturalist app to record observations of wildlife around town, in a friendly competition with cities around the world! Use the app to record plants, animals and fungi. There will be several events at Urbana Park District, but you can use the app anywhere.
Don't know how to use the iNaturalist app? Learn for free at Anita Purves Nature Center on April 16. People do not need to register for the April 24 - 27 challenge, but please sign up for the April 16 training session at the link below.

Join us at the Anita Purves Nature Center for a training on using the iNaturalist app for the upcoming City Nature Challenge (Apr 24-27)! iNaturalist is a free educational app that contributes to community science. There will be a seminar section on using the app, hosted in-person and on Zoom, and we will practice outside (weather permitting) afterwards! Contact cjross@urbanaparks.org with any questions.
