The weather is warming up and now is a great time to join the Dog Park and give your pet a place to run, exercise, and socialize. And you, the owner, might also run, exercise and socialize!
Located on Perkins Road, east of Cunningham Avenue, the park is 60 acres. There are some open areas to run and some shaded areas to cool off. The park also has drinking fountains (available from April - October), and accessible parking. There are two separate, fenced areas for smaller or timid dogs.
The Urbana Park District has a reciprocal dog park agreement with Champaign Park District.
Pay for your membership by cash, check, or credit card. You can purchase memberships at Phillips Recreation Center, by phone, or by mail. The dog park membership costs:
- One dog - $50
- Each additional dog - $10
- Fob fee - $10 each
Dog must be up to date with their vaccinations and wear their county registration tags.
