8/16/26
Kids ages 6 - 12 can learn more about nature and the environment at Anita Purves Nature Center this Fall during Forest School Afternoons.
There are four, three-week sessions beginning in September. Forest School Afternoons are Wednesdays from 1:15 - 4:15 p.m.
This program connects children to the natural world through discovery and play. Drop kids off at 1:15 at the Friendship Grove Nature Playscape.
The afternoon goes on outside rain or shine. Dress for the weather! Kids should bring a re-fillable water bottle. The park district will provide light snacks. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn, get outside, and make friends.
Call (217) 384-4062 for more information. Register on the phone or sign up at the link below.
All kids ages 6 - 12 are invited to Forest School Afternoons!

We will be outside rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe, so children must come dressed appropriately for the weather and bring a refillable water bottle daily. Light snacks will be provided. No class Nov 11. Please note Session 3 will meet for only 3 weeks.
Register your child(ren) for one, two, three, or all four sessions! Content is always emergent and changing with the natural world.
