If you want a yoga program that emphasizes mind-body awareness and emphasizes relaxation, Somatic Yoga at Urbana Park District is for you.
The park district is offering two sessions of Somatic Yoga this spring and summer. The first session begins May 14 at the Health & Wellness Center. Sign up now for an early bird discount - $27 for residents and $41 for non-residents.
Somatic Yoga offers a unique blend of easeful and enlivening practices. This class encourages you to explore inner awareness while gently shifting patterns of stress, and tension. It is also a class that emphasizes "feeling over form."
