Urbana Park District planners will be working to improve the walking loop at South Ridge Park beginning in March.
The existing asphalt path will soon be replaced with a five-foot wide concrete path. This project will also include the additions of four new bench pads along the trail and an accessible on-road parking stall on Myra Ridge Drive.
Depending on weather, the project will be complete in the Summer of 2025. During the project, some portions of the trail will be closed. Please watch out for signs. The park will be open throughout the project.
