Urbana Park District is beginning a new league for one of the fastest-growing sports in America.
The new Pickleball League begins play February 4 at the Health & Wellness Center, 2002 E. Washington Street (between the Brookens Center and Preston Williams Elementary School).
This league is open for all ages and all abilities. There are beginner and intermediate leagues. There is also a league for people age 55 and better.

Pickleball Basics: Perfect for beginners looking to learn the game! Players will receive instruction on rules, scoring, and basic techniques, finishing the session with a fun mini league to practice what they have learned. You are encouraged to sign up with a friend to learn and play together! (Players sign-up individually). Pickleball Rec League: For players who know the rules and want more playtime. Enjoy friendly, consistent weekly games and an end-of-session tournament in a relaxed, social environment. Pickleball Competitive League: Designed for experienced players ready for high-intensity matchups. Test your skills against tough opponents each week, with a session ending tournament to determine the champions!
