Visitors to Meadowbrook Park and the Wandell Sculpture Garden will find a new sculpture to enjoy. Artist Larry Young has loaned the park DNA Dance.
Young created DNA Dance in 2022, and he displayed it at "Sculpture Walk Springfield" in Springfield, Missouri. The stainless-steel work was on display until 2024. Young took the sculpture back, finished it up, and loaned it to the park district.
The piece is along the Hickman Wildflower Walk, just beyond the park's Garden Pavilion. Learn more about the park district's public art program via the Arts & Sculpture Tour.
