Rachel Lenz begins her new duties today as Urbana Park District Executive Director.
Lenz comes to Urbana from Macomb Park District. She is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist as well as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional, and holds a Master of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration. She is also an NCAA women’s college basketball official.
Bartlett has been Urbana Park District Executive Director since 2014. He will retire in early June after a 33-year career with the park district.
Lenz said, “I’m thrilled to be joining the Urbana Park District, a community where the words ‘You Belong Here’ are lived out with heart and purpose. This belief — that every person has a place and a voice here — is something I hold close and am committed to advancing. I am grateful for the leadership and impact Tim Bartlett has brought to this District, and I look forward to building on that strong foundation.”
