People in Grades 6 - 8 will learn to be a Safe Sitter April 5


Register now for the Safe Sitter course that is April 5, from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., at Phillips Recreation Center.

This nationally certified course is taught is a friendly, interactive environment and is for people in grades 6 - 8. The class shows participants safe and nurturing childcare techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. Class materials are included in the fee.

Safe Sitter Life Skills and Childcare Training Course

For ages 11-14 (6-8 grade) Course content includes: Safety Skills; indoor, outdoor, online, and personal safety. Child Care Skills; child development, childcare routines, behavior management. First Aid and Rescue Skills; injury prevention, injury management and choking rescue. Life and Business Skills; screening jobs, setting fees, and greeting employers. Please bring your own lunch.
