The Urbana Park District is inviting people to give their opinions about Weaver and Prairie Parks this month. "We want to update the public about the Prairie Park and Weaver Park Master Plans," said Keenan Portis, Park Planner. He added, "It is important to get public feedback after they get a look at these plans."
The open houses will take place on the following days and locations:
- July 18, 5:30 - 7 p.m., Dr. Preston L. Williams Jr., Elementary School (primary open house)
- July 19, Noon - 1 p.m., UPD Planning and Operations (alternate open house)
- July 22, 5:30 - 7 p.m., Brookens Gym (alternate open house)
The July 18 open house will be the best chance to interact with park district planners and staff. People will be able to examine boards and maps, enter for a raffle prizes and enjoy refreshments.
