Have you ever head of Capoeira Angola? You have two chances to learn about this traditional Afro-Brazilian martial art this summer at Urbana Park District.
Capoeira Angola is a martial art that integrates dance, defense, and music. It was born as a form of cultural resistance. The movements enhance strength, stamina, and flexible movements. The classes are 40 minutes of movement and 20 minutes of percussion music.
There are Tuesday and Thursday classes beginning May 12. Choose the day you want to attend. The cost is $30 for residents and $45 for non-residents. The deadlines are approaching for the first session so sign up now at the link below!
