If you've been curious about how to ID trees in the Winter when they are without leaves, Urbana Park District is hosting a free U of I Cooperative Extension program at Anita Purves Nature Center.
Winter Tree ID is February 25, from 4 - 5:30 p.m. It is a free program. Impress your friends and family with your knowledge of form, branching structure, bud characteristics and leaf scars after this informative afternoon with educator Ryan Pankau.
This is for everyone age 12 and up. A registered adult needs to accompany people age 15 and under.
