Want to try wood carving? You can learn about it and create something special for yourself at the Low Relief Flower Carving Workshop, September 19, from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., at Phillips Recreation Center

Learn how to carve a flower by removing the background in combination with shallow grooves so the design slightly rises from the background. Learn basic carving skills and carving safety. We will include wood and a carving set.

The workshop costs $125. Register for the workshop by September 10. This day for adults, ages 18 and up.

Low Relief Flower Carving Workshop

Learn how to carve a flower by removing the background in combination with shallow grooves so the design slightly rises from the background. We will cover how to safely carve and basic carving skills. Beginners and novices are welcome. A basswood board, pattern and 8-piece carving tool set are included in the cost of the class.
