Do you know that Anita Purves Nature Center is home different animals? These animals have either been injured or born in captivity and cannot be released back into the wild. The nature center uses these animals to help educate the public (especially school children), about what types of animals live in the area.
Anita Purves Nature Center houses salamanders, turtles, snakes and an Eastern Screech Owl.
You have the chance to help the nature center accomplish its mission and to help the nature center keep the animals healthy and safe. You can sponsor an education animal to help with the animal's medical care, housing, and food. Sponsor an animal for one month, sixth months, or a year. The costs range from $25 to $600, depending on the animal and length of your sponsorship.
Sponsors will get a certificate, a sheet giving the animal's history, photographs, and the sponsor's name displayed at the field station.
