How can flamingos help special recreation in our community? You can purchase a flamingo and participate in the "Flamazing Race" August 14, at 5 p.m., at Champaign Park District's Sholem Aquatic Center.
Buy a flamingo for $5 (or by 10 for $40), and those flamingos will be sent down the lazy river slide in a high-speed classic. The more you purchase the more chances you have to win great prices.
Proceeds from the race go to support CUSR scholarships. CUSR is a joint project between Urbana Park District and Champaign Park District.
