An Urbana tradition is back for its 57th straight year. The Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving Morning, November 28, at Crystal Lake Park.
Buy 2024 Turkey Trot t-shirts now through Wednesday at Phillips Recreation Center.
Sign-in begins at 8 a.m., and the one-mile fun run/walk/roll begins at 9 a.m. The course goes through Crystal Lake Park and the first 800 finishers get a ribbon. Stay afterward for a raffle (that's why you signed in for your raffle ticket), and maybe get a prize!
This is a free event. The park district is taking donations that day for the Urbana Park District Youth Scholarship Fund. This fund helps offset the cost of camps and allows more kids attend park district camps in the summer.
