The Anita Purves Nature Center is hosting two Owl Prowls in March and people can register now for the prowls.
The Owl Prowls will be:
- Owl Prowl for All - March 1, 5-7 p.m.
- Adults Owl Prowl - March 8, 5-7 p.m.
All prowls are at Anita Purves Nature Center. The Owl Prowl for All is for people ages six and up (under 15 with a registered adult). The Adults Owl Prowl is for people age 15 and up.
For each event, people will learn about owls native to our area and dissect owl pellets. Then, people will walk Busey Woods to listen for the owl calls and maybe even spot an owl! Be prepared for wet slippery conditions. The prowl may be rescheduled due to weather.
After the hike, come back to the nature center for hot cocoa and meet the center's resident screech owl.

- Owl Prowl for All - $12/residents, $18/nonresidents.
- Adults Owl Prowl - early bird rate; $10/residents, $15/nonresidents.
