Urbana Park District has partnered with Leadaz Sports to bring new athletic equipment to the Health & Wellness Center.
Under the partnership agreement, Leadaz Sports will supply the park district with a scorer's table, shot clocks and game clocks for basketball leagues and other events.
Urbana Park District Executive Director, Rachel Lenz, commented, "It has been a joy to worth with Leadaz. It's an honor to work with an agency that has their heart in what they're trying to accomplish."
Superintendent of Recreation, Corky Emberson, said, "The equipment coming to the Health & Wellness Center will be unlike anything in the area. I am excited to offer this to our community and our partners. It's a great day."
Lenz and Emberson signed the agreement with Leadaz CEO, Javae Wright, and will take possession of the equipment shortly.
In inspecting the table and equipment, Lenz, a college basketball referee, was impressed. "This is high quality. We do it right at Urbana Park District," she said.
