The playground at King Park is 20-years old and in need of renovations. Before the park district completes a King Park Master Plan, planners want to hear from the public.
The Urbana Park District will host a King Park Planning Open House this Thursday, March 27, from 5 - 7 p.m., at Martin Luther King Elementary School, 1108 Fairview Drive, Urbana. While there, park planners will show ideas for the park renovations and get input from the public about what they want to see in King Park.
The end goal is for the Urbana Park District’s Board of Commissioners to approve a master plan for King Park that promotes accessibility, inclusivity, and diverse recreational opportunities for the entire community.
