You may have heard that the Ukulele is a popular instrument at Urbana Park District, and there are several free opportunities to play fun music on this fun instrument.
If you can strum a few chords and want to learn more, you can learn for free this summer at the park district. Sign up for the free Ukulele Workshop happening at Phillips Recreation Center.
The workshop is from 5 - 6 p.m., every Wednesday beginning June 3 and running through July 15. The beginner workshop is an accelerated version of the absolute beginner workshop that happened in the Winter.
The park district will supply music. A few loaner ukuleles and music stands are available on request.

Our beginner workshop is an accelerated version of our Absolute Beginner Workshop from the January to April season. This opportunity is intended for those just starting out and those who may have already learned some of the basics! Music is provided and loaner ukuleles and music stands may be available upon request.
