Any person who spends five minutes outside can tell you the current heat wave is oppressive.
That's why Urbana Park District wants to take a moment to salute our Planning & Operations staff, our Lake House Boating staff and our Aquatics staff for working in the heat and braving the extreme temperatures.
If you happen to see one of them while visiting the parks or visiting the pool, take a moment to recognize them and the work they do - even in the middle of this heat!
