Park district offers several virtual program options all winter

The Urbana Park District is committed to bringing fun to your household, no matter the season or the phase of the Restore Illinois plan for Covid-19. Keeping every one safe is our number one priority, so we’ve been adding more online content for people of all ages and all interests this winter and early spring.

“We can’t wait until we could see all of you in person,” said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager. “But our program staff are running such creative virtual programs; we’re glad can still see each other online.”

The park district is offering a virtual programs through Zoom. The programs meet a variety of interests:

  • Spanish classes
  • Family Date Night
  • Kids tap dance classes
  • Beginning tap dance classes
  • Kids YouTube Club
  • Age-Friendly Trivia
  • Book club for millennials
  • Ukulele class
  • Hobby webinars
  • Great back yard bird count
  • Teeny Ballereenies
  • Zoom with the animals
  • Shinrin-Youku With Your Household

“Everyone is welcome to register for these virtual programs,” Soesbe said. “Even if covid-19 keeps us apart, we will still serve the community and help everyone make connections.”
