Urbana Park District, in partnership with Breakfast, Life & Dinner is offering a fun cooking class on June 29, where students will learn to make Buffalo Chicken and Coleslaw.

The class will be at Phillips Recreation Center in the new demonstration kitchen.

“If people register before June 15, they get the early bird rate of $22 for residents,” said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager. “If they register between June 15 and June 22, the cost is $28 for residents of Urbana and Champaign Park Districts.”

People living outside C-U can attend the class, but they will pay non-resident rates.

Soesbe added, “This is a fun class and Adam Wisnewski from Breakfast Life & Dinner is an energetic and inspiring teacher. With summer here in full force, it is a great time to learn how to make Buffalo Chicken and Coleslaw – a summer favorite.”

For more information, people can view the class description and register online or they can call Phillips Recreation Center at (217) 367-1544.

“Everyone belongs at our James Room Kitchen to learn nutrition and cooking; from the beginner to the more experienced cooks,” Soesbe said. She concluded, “Be sure to register now and join your neighbors for a fun, relaxed and delicious class.”
