On March 23, people can take a walk in Meadowbrook Park, and have the chance to see one of the most interesting birds to grace Illinois skies.
The free, annual Woodcock Walk happens from 6:45 - 8:15 p.m., at Meadowbrook Park.
What makes the Woodcock interesting? It's brain is upside down for starters!
Meet at the barn at Meadowbrook Park, at the Race Street entrance. After a brief presentation, a guide will lead people along the paths in search of the Woodcock and its amazing sky dance.
Please call the park district at (217) 384-4062 for more information. The park district will reschedule the walk if there is bad weather.
Everyone is welcome to Meadowbrook Park on March 23 to look for the Woodcock!
